HITCHCOCK'S ROPE
What can you say about a classic? Hitchcock tried a very different technique for this film by making it up of 10 to 15 minute takes, so cleanly done you would think it was done without any cuts at all. You know the killers from the beginning, but there is still enough suspense to keep you entirely engaged through to the end. Jimmy Stewart is perfect as the sophisticated, intellectual who sees through the plot and exposes it neatly. This is one for the entire family; suspense without the blood & gore so prevalent in currently produced thrillers. I do hope this is never re-made, as it is perfect just as it is.
