  • History told at it's very best!

In Alison Weir's books the personalities of her subjects shine across the centuries. Her books are all scrupulously researched, beautifully written and offer the reader an insightful view of worlds' gone by. The medieval queens covered in this latest book are another prime example the author's skill in propelling less important characters centre-stage. Highly recommended.
