Based on the adaptation of a BBC miniseries of the same name, House of Cards is set in Washington, D.C., where democrat Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) serves as the House Majority Whip and represents South Carolina's 5th congressional district. Series 2 returns as the UnderwoodÆs are ruthless in their thirst for power, Frank and Claire Underwood battle threats past and present, while new alliances are formed, old ones succumb to betrayal. Tension rises between Frank and Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney) as the situation with China deteriorates amidst an energy crises. Robin Wright, Kate Mara, and Corey Stoll also star. Robin Wright won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an actress in a television series drama 2014.

House of Cards series
I bought the first series of the house of cards in a supermarket and found it very engaging, I have subsquently bought 2-4 on e bay. This is the story of Francis Underwood the chief whip in the US congress who rises to become vice president and then ultimately the president. On the way he dispatches a few people including a dog which has been run over I wont reveal much all I can say is buy series 1 and I think you will buy the remaining 3 seasons, I will definitely be buying series 5 when it comes out Good entertainment, we need more politicians like this guy
