For sale, Mr Smith Goes to Washington (1939, Blu-ray/DVD). HMV Premium Collection edition. 1939 political comedy-drama starring James Stewart as a young and well-meaning, but naive US Senator who finds himself taken advantage of. Bought new, and watched once, but didn’t get all the way through it regrettably, Very minor, minimal signs of usage at best, but both discs working perfectly when tested, and in great condition. Slightly reluctant sale of a film with one of my favourite actors largely due to saving up for travelling , and have not watched it sadly so rather it goes to someone who has time to enjoy it. An amusing and fun film for old film lovers.

Jefferson Smith is the idealistic leader of the Boy Rangers in a western state. He's chosen to go to Washington as a senator, although his appointment is far from straightforward. A political boss hopes to perpetrate a land swindle at a site called Willet Creek and has several senators in his pocket to ease his plans through. It falls to Jefferson to try and defeat the plan and also save his own good name. Co-starring Jean Arthur and Claude Rains.
