This item does an impressive job of capturing negatives and slides. I didn't order the dedicated light because I wanted 97 CRI so I sourced one elsewhere on eBay. The unit's quality surprised me, surpassing my expectations based on some reviews. However, the negative holder could use some improvements, as it is cumbersome to load film strips.
