Easy to fit pollen filter
The Hyundai i30 Pollen/Cabin air filter for some reason is made in two parts. These are located behind the glove compartment. Open the glove compartment, slide out the plastic/rubber stop piece on the left with the lid just ajar. Uncouple the damper. Lower the lid. Squeeze the clip on the right end of the filter retaining lid. Pull the clip towards you and the lid will come away, carefully slide the lid out of the locator for its left hand end. Pull on each of the two central plastic tabs, and both halves of the old filter can be pulled out. Be careful to orientate the new filter the same way, taking account of the airflow direction. Push fully in, then engage lid in left locator, and swing lid shut until the clip locks. Replace damper on spigot, and slid back the plastic & rubber stay (at 45 degrees through larger of two cut-outs. Photos of the new filter attached for clarity.

Slightly tighter fit than original but still good.
The width is slightly wider than the Kia original part which makes it a tighter fit in the filter case. Not a problem as it still goes in OK, just makes it slightly fiddly. The filter element appears to be same as Kia original. Happy enough with the item.
