    Quality at a fair price

    This is the second set of Mintex front brakes for my car. The originals when the car was manufactured lasted 40,000 miles. The replacement Mintex that I fitted back then are only now getting a bit low at 116,000 miles, but not yet completely worn out. That's 76,000 miles so far on the Mintex fronts. I decided to replace the discs and pads as I wanted to clean the calipers now that the winter road salt season is over. At this price it wasn't worth stripping and cleaning the brakes without replacing the discs and pads, and only slightly dearer than unbranded cheapies. Also I replaced the rears with Mintex at 50,000 miles, but the pads have loads of meat still on them and the discs are hardly worn. Might have to change them in a couple of years time, but they are not worn enough yet.
