Clean then use safely.
Boil water twice then empty so the kettle is clean and ready to use from then on. Keep the packaging and instructions if required to return the item. Pour water in and out carefully. For safety sake, buy and use an 8-way antisurge electrical socket unit with the individual on/off switches so it's safer to connect the kettle's power cable connector into an off switch instead of a live switch that could cause damage. Good value kettle
This is absolutely fantastic for the price. It boils really quickly and it's a clean design inside. It also pause very well I'm very happy with my purchase. there is a slight Downside which is it's quite clunky and hard to remove it from the base to fill it. I feel the kettle is quite stiff and it doesn't really want to leave the base unit and it's hard for them to part unless you use your second hand which could be a little annoying. However that said it could be because the product is new and after a slight bit of wear and tear it make it easier. I want let it put you off, as it does what it's meant to. Economy kettle bought as a spare does what it says on the tin1 but represents excelent value for the price works well & fairly easy to use ! . Two minor gripes- the jug has to fit over a tower on the base rather than on a round plate so can be a bit awkward to line up when full and heavy! also the filter on the inside lip just lightly clips in and is prone to falling out other rthan that all good and for the price you can hardly complain can you?.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Really cheap price, but impressive quality & performance.
This kettle has been a great buy. It does what it's designed to do - it boils water. Despite the "bargain-basement" price (£5.49, including postage), the kettle doesn't feel "cheap" and the switch has a satisfying CLUNK. It boils consistently and fairly quickly, an ideal machine. I see no point in buying a more expensive variety when a good quality item, such as this, does the same job - at a fraction of the price. Does everything a kettle should
When I write a review I usually like to point out the negatives so people know what to expect. With this kettle there are no real problems to speak of. If I were pushed though, I would say the ergonomics of my old kettle were slightly better. On that one the on/off switch was placed on top of the kettle right next to the handle. To switch it on required just a flick of the thumb after setting it down on it's base. With this the switch is below the hand grip so you have to drop your hand down to switch it on. That's it! No lack of safety, speed or capacity. An extra two seconds loss compared to a kettle that costs at least double.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This is the second one we have had the first one lasting for several years. They are excellent value for money although this one Shows condensation on the sight glass making it slightly more difficult to read the water level.
