Not ready for primetime
I'm a long time Tivo user (since 2000) and I have always loved their products. They missed the mark big time on this. The remote will not pair with older tivo minis and that is very frustrating. It works to control the TV but the voice controls don't work (kind if the point of upgrading to this remote). Tivo knows the problem but says they don't know when it will be fixed. Works great with original MINI
The VOX remote for TIVO works great with newer units. For older Tivo products, you have to make sure you add the Bluetooth dongle. The intelligence of the voice recognition continues to get better and better... good to know its not hardwired into this.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

If you have more than 1 tivo you do not want this remote
After downloading Tivo Roamio Plus upgrade to make the Vox remote work, now I cannot transfer between my old Tivo and the Roamio or watch one from the other. I have now found out this is a software glitch and should be fixed some day. I am not a happy Tivo watcher at the moment. Besides the glitch on transferring now some programs don't record sound.
