Condition:
The single-layer fur is characterized by the dot attached from below in the middle. This significantly increases durability and ensures a dry sound without affecting the playing feel. It all started in 1956 in Santa Fe, New Mexico: a professional drummer named Marion "Chick" Evans took a piece of polyester sheeting (dubbed " Mylar ") and fashioned the first functional all-weather synthetic drumhead out of it. Over the next five decades, he set about making the name known around the world with many new and further developments. After developing his groundbreaking synthetic head in 1956, Chick toured the country shocking salespeople by demonstrating the amazingly similar sound to natural heads. Then he poured water on the skin, stepped on it and drummed. Natural skins would have been ruined.
