This pole raises the centre of a garden table cover above the height of the chairs. This gives the cover a cone shape so the water can run off, instead of collecting in pockets, which can be difficult to drain without getting splashed.
From the pictures shown, you might well think that the pole would be a much heavier and thicker construction, however, the poles three in all slot together to give a extended height, the pole is no more than a broom pole thickness and the domed cap end is there to protect the fabric from going through
If I had known it was like this, I wouldn’t have spent £20.00 an old broom pole with a plastic bowl or cup would have been just has effective sorry guys not what I would regard as a good buy !!
Waste of time buying this as I thought the water would just roll off the cover, but it just forms pockets of water between the chairs. So I wouldn't buy it again.
I had to buy a large cover to fit my wooden table so it was a bit long. The fixings are great so I could make it secure. I used a water shedding pole which is a great invention
