Japanese pens are good quality
I’ve always enjoyed Japanese and Korean writing tools and stationary. These Tombow brush pens are great for any hand letterer. They are also commonly used by hand letter artists. The only issue is distinguishing between the hard tip vs soft tip. You literally have to uncap the pens to figure out which is which since the description on the pens are in Japanese calligraphy. I’d recommend these pens as they have good ink flow and a good barrel size. I wouldn’t mind having a thicker barrel, personally, to accommodate my arthritic hands, but they are sufficient otherwise.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I am good at crafts and I don't think my hand writing is all that bad. I used these to practice more of a calligraphy style of font and they worked perfect. Once you learn how to use the brush/pen, learn your handwriting style, and understand how to hold them correctly/comfortably, you will adore these pens. They came in perfect condition and I you get well more than what you pay for. I recomme these for anyone trying to make their writing more unique! The best begginer pen set!
I totally recommend these pens if you are a calligrapher begginer. This was my second time buying these pens and their amazing. But I do have to warn you, they are not meant for writing big. They are meant for writing small. For an example, you can do your own bullet journal and these pens would be perfect for them. If you buy a calligraphy beginner book, again these would be great for them. They do run out of ink in the next month or so, so you do have to make sure to keep stocking up on them. Smooth ink and awesome quality!
The pens have smooth ink that makes them ideal for calligraphy. They are easy to grip and simple to use. The pen cap fits perfectly on both sides of the pen, that way you don't need to place the cap on the table while you are using the pens. Great quality. Great pens for on the go or at the office.
These are excellent pens. I bought them just to try them...I'm used to a dip pen. The soft pen is particularly good for calligraphy. The hard one is better for drawing. Very good pen for inking details
