I had bought this because my remote stopped working on my LED aquarium light (48") and could not get the light to work. I took a chance with this and it works great. Close, but not good enough.
This thing does what it does just fine, but there are two issues, one is a bug or a defect, the other is missing functionality that would have made it better.. or at least as good as other products in the same price range. First, the time can only be set if you reset the whole box. The instructions tell a different story, but I've given it plenty of effort, and I can safely say it is impossible to change the time without resetting it (holding two buttons for a few seconds) which resets the programmed on/off times as well. Another quirk is it doesn't keep the time after a power outage. This is strange since it says it does in the specs. Funny enough, it does keep the on/off times. This is useless since the box needs to be reset just to change the main time setting, so it's useless. Now, the second issue is lack of a function that really hamstrings this for certain people.. You can't set the max brightness. It will push the light to 100%, no matter what, so if this isn't what you want.. go elsewhere. There are other products at the same price point that do this and more.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great timer. Using one for white light channel and another for blue. Able to set 8 different sets of time and level data. Brightness level can be set to change as fast or as slow as you need it. Doesn´t work!
I can not recommend this product as it doesn´t work! I have tried every way to adjust the dimmer/timer according to the instructions, but the timer doesn´t turn on/off the light, so I have to manually turn on and off everyday!
