It works
Tovolo is the least expensive clear ice ball mold that I have found that actually works. It is somewhat difficult to fill and empty but it consistently makes clear ice. I have had to use rubber bands to keep the Styrofoam insulation tight together and a funnel is really handy to top the mold off after putting it level in the freezer.
