Perfect Setup Works great
Works like a charm! had to modify it because I used a 1200 GPH Mag Pump so it needed additional holes/outlets to pump that amount of water threw it and still aerate properly. Plus you need to put a extension on the inlet for the aid if the snow gets deep and covers the air intake. Otherwise I love it. De Icer really works over all other!!
I purchased the other Laguna deicer to only have to send it back because it was not working properly. This one however is perfect! You have to leave it in the water 10 minutes before turning it on and if you ever have to remove it leave it unplugged in the water for 10 minutes before removing it. It is not hot to the touch , when we had 30° below weather it kept a hole in the ice even though the rest of the pond was frozen over with 4" of snow on top of the ice as well! I also had 4 aerators going at one time and it's the first time that the aerators could not keep a hole open on top of my pond but this de icer made all the difference! My pond is 36 inches deep by 12' x 10' wide... if you are considering a de icer I would definitely buy this one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

These pond heaters are long lasting. Although the price has gone up a bit, I purchased one about six years ago and put it in my pond every winter until it finally died this year.
