Best value for a smart speaker
This is a great value for a smart speaker. I personally think the Home Mini still holds up even against the Nest Mini as a cheaper option. Flawless design, and the Google Assistant is the most helpful of the virtual assistants. One thing that some complain about is the fact that it lacks an auxiliary output. However, I don't really see that as an issue. You can output through a Bluetooth speaker if you want. You can also use a Chromecast as your default output for music. Dumbed down compared with previous versions, misses lots of commands.
Voice recognition worked FAR BETTER in the older Google Home products. It could even figure out mumbled, broken English. This new one struggles permanently, usually performing the wrong task (like play a radio station, 7 out of 10 it will miss the spelling of the sender call, as if it were the most mysterious thing, which the old did perfectly ). Most frequent answer to my questions "sorry I don't understand". I have been on the competing product Alexa, which now turns to be better despite my initial impression on the contrary. Switched back to Google longing for the times of a very good dialog feature. Now, I am very disappointed. How have I lived without this for so long!!!
This product, the Google home mini "nest" is best, most helpful thing that I have ever owned! First off, the color is on point! Love the coral... straight out of the box the google nest was easily paired with my phone via Bluetooth. It can play your fav songs from thr designated media player. Excellent Player for a Bargain Price
Bought it primarily because it can play my YouTube music, which the Amazon Alexa will not do. It also plays my SiriusXM and Spotify. It does this very well, and its usefulness goes beyond just a music player. I also get my news, weather, travel information, etc. from the Home Mini. Wonderful for the money
The Google Home Mini provides 90% of the bang of its larger siblings (Google Home, Home Hub, Home Max), but at a drastically lower price. Fact is, it contains the same technology, minus the larger circuitry needed for louder, better music. Fast and Colorful
Looks even more orange in person. Being my favorite color, this is an absolute plus. A good supplement to your existing smart home, but for your first device I would recommend the Nest Audio instead. 3rd day woke and wont work at all,even tried plugging in. But read google mini was smarter. Wish gave better directions to do all says it will work!

The Bass is So Much Better!!!
These new Google Nest Mini 2nd Generation Smart speakers have much improved bass! These sound much better than the first generation speakers! I got this for my kitchen while I cooking It sets a timer, play my favorite app Pandora and I can make a clear quality call to family members.
