I bought this product because it was cheap, and I wasn't expecting much if I'm honest. However, it is quite well built and finished. It did arrive with a bent leg, but that's the couriers fault, not the product. In common with all such cabinets, if you use it as it arrives, it will leak dust all over your workshop, but again, this is not something exclusive to this cabinet. Without vacuum extraction, they all will. I advise sealing the floor panel with caulk though, as this was not very well sealed. The lid will also need additional sealing with stick on P profile draught excluding strip, which once done, greatly improves things. I use it with a vacuum extractor, and if you do the same, block off the rear opening and adapt a vacuum hose to extract from the main filter output. Once you do all of the above, you will have a great cabinet at a rock bottom price. The light is adequate, if not amazing, and unless you have a regulated air supply it uses a lot of air with the fitted 5mm nozzle. It comes with a gun and spare nozzles of different sizes, which the ad didn't say. You will need a fairly beefy air compressor, or one with a large tank to keep up with this cabinet. If you blast at 50psi, then you will need a 10cfm compressor and a 50 litre tank minimum, and even then you will be working with the compressor on most of the time. a 15cfm compressor would be ideal. All in all, for the price, you will struggle to beat it.

  • Great bit of kit once sorted. Good value

I bought this after reading many reviews and it is exactly as expected. it is not a professional cabinet and it is built to a price. that said it does work well but did need some modification. i have stripped it and silicon sealed all the seams and added extra foam tape to the lid. it is now pretty much dust tight. It is very effective and strips rust and paint quickly . I am using crushed glass as media which is very fine. it does use a lot of air so you will need a big compressor to run it. all in all I am very pleased for the price. Definately worth hooking up an extractor/hoover.

  • Switzer sanding blasting cabinet

Not used yet but on the whole I'm pleased with it, I'm making it a bit more seal proof adding better sealant all round have also added legs and made it more suitable for a lefthand person as the gun does not reach properly like I had reroute the air supply turning the grill inside over, the cut out corner is now on the left. Just need to fit and air filter to my compressor then off we go

  • Good price, good design.

The design is better that other similar mini blast cabinets, this has an angles base to bring media to a central point, unlike some that are flat and have a long sphyon tube along the flat base requiring much more media. Packing could have done with more solid suport to stop damage, legs on mine were slightly bent with no sign of any damage on the packing case.

  • Good value well made

Good table top cabinet, well made. Following online advice on this type of cabinet, I did add an adaptor to fit a vacuum to it prior to using so can't say if it needs that.

  • How did I manage without it?

Shot blasting is a great way to prepare many things for repainting, rusty old tools, revamped, it takes a while to learn how to use it properly, but once mastered, you will wonder how you managed with out one. I am using ground glass, but will eventually move to glass beads. Other grits include, ground almonds, aluminium oxide and other metals, each has its own use, but when you get one, buy a 25k bag of a cheap grit to start with, and wear masks.

  • Switzer media blasting cabinet

A good basic package that has been made much better with a few adaptations following advice from Utuber owners of similar units. Altogether a great buy, doing great work now.

  • Blast it!

Although this blasting cabinet is good value for money it's not without its problems, notably the door seals are poor and allow fine dust to escape and the air seems to leak form the internal hose connection that supplies the gun.

  • Switzer sand blast cabinet

Good piece of equipment but needs to be used with extraction, seen reviews with people having issues but none of them had extraction, cyclone extraction is cheap fix, keeps vision better and stops any dust escape
