Exactly what I needed.
It might seem expensive, until you consider how much time and effort it must have taken to rewire it and refurb every keyswitch. Out of hundreds of hand soldered connections, only one had broken, most likely due to not paying attention to where the adapter was when it was put back together (the wire bent enough to pull the solder connection apart). Probably my fault when I wanted to take a look at his handiwork. I easily repaired it and it's working perfectly. Best thing is my ancient Mac Mini which refuses to accept any non-Apple USB keyboard works with this one since he ŕeprogrammed the adapter (actually a Teensy microcontroller) to identify as an Apple USB keyboard. I replaced the keycaps and case with like-new ones I had from an unused keyboard (same model) and foam mounted the frame in the case, and now have a museum quality showpiece that's aesthetically and functionally better than the original.
Couldn't be happier with my purchase.
Thanks!
