Easy to assemble.
This is not the first anti squirrel baffle I've used. The previous one I'd had for years, did exactly what I bought it for, to keep the squirrels off the bird food. Unfortunately the high winds we had recently blew the bird feeder over and because the dome had become brittle, being out in all weathers, shattered when it hit the ground. This is the only preventative measure against the squirrels I've found that works and would have no hesitation in recommending it. Good quality but needs careful siting to stop the squirrels
Good quality rigid dome that fits tightly onto the bird feeder pole. I had to shave a little of the plastic from the inside of the screw fitting to get it on as it was slightly narrower than the diameter of the pole. I have tried it in many positions, high and low on the pole, but the squirrels seem to be able to jump on to it and then reach the bird seeds. I sited it further away from the wall and railing that they were jumping from as shown in the picture. It is over 2 metres from the nearest ‘launch pad’! However they still manage but it has slowed them down and there are definitely less visits than before the dome. If it was in the middle of the lawn away from trees etc I think it would work 100% as they can’t climb up the pole from the ground.

Squirrel baffle - certainly keeps them baffled
There are removable sleeves in the centre to accommodate different pole thicknesses, and was dead easy to fit. This thing certainly "baffles squirrels"! They climb up the pole until under the dome, then jump down again for a rethink. They have taken to trying some extraordinary acrobatics to leap onto the bird feeder from surrounding bushes, (I had to remove flat feeding platforms because they were using them as landing pads) land on top of the dome and slide off. Honestly, it's worth the price just for the entertainment value, especially nowadays as all we get on tv is the Brexit pantomime (and, let's face it, we're going to end up staying in the EU anyway so it's all a bit tedious)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A squirrel deterrent that actually works
Having tried a number of so-called squirrel-proof bird feeders which the squirrels managed to burgle within minutes, I then tried this baffle. It seems rather expensive for what it is - a dome of clear plastic which fits round the pole of the bird feeder, but it does actually work. No squirrel so far has been able to get round it. It is also the source of some amusement,as we can watch the antics of the squirrels who can see the food through the clear perspex but cannot reach it. Given that the birds are now able to eat the food that we put out for them, it's definitely been worth its' initial expense.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great product that really works!
After having 7 squirrels run riot in our garden and bird seed lasting only one day we decided to give the squirrel baffle a try. This really does work despite the squirrels trying numerous times to get up the pole to the seed. I had to move the feeding pole far away from the fence to stop them jumping onto it which has worked a treat so I would highly recommend this squirrel baffle as it has certainly worked and we now have no squirrels in the garden :)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

does what is says
a very simple solution to stop squirrels from climbing up the bird feeder pole and stealing the food. All I need to do now is figure out how to stop the little pests from launching themselves off the nearby tree and aiming for the top of the pole! It is a very simple idea - a large transparent plastic hemisphere that you fit to the pole below the feeders to prevent the pesky squirrel from climbing. It is too wide for the pests to get around and has nothing for them to gain a purchase if they try to jump on top of it (hours of amusement watching them!) It comes with various adaptor sleeves to allow use on poles of differing thickness, but I found it necessary to carefully file the largest diameter fitting to pass over our pole (2 minutes work). Effective against squirrels and rats
We're very pleased - it was easy to fit once we'd worked out that you push out the central rings until it fits your pole - it came without any fitting instructions. It sure works
At 1st I'd thought it'd not fit my birdfeeder, then realised there's plastic spacer rings you need to remove (easily done) and then it fits straight on. It's a good size, secure fit and has totally stopped the rats from shimmying up and snaffling the bird food at night. I did have to prune back a neighbouring plant mind... (see photos) It's scared the birds off for the minute, but that's to be expected. I've no doubt they'll return in a few days.

It's better than ok but not better than expected
This is the 4th baffle I have bought as the others have become marked, opaque, break up or crack so they cannot be tightened onto the pole. Whether it is the cold weather that does it or just age, I am not sure but I have bought a new one each year. Otherwise, they do the job they are built for but because of the problems I think they are a little expensive. Squirrel Baffle.
This plastic shield does exactly what it is expected to do. It is well made and has fittings for different sized poles. Once on the pole it prevents squirrels from taking the bird food and destroying the feeders.
