Great Ring alternative
Once I received an email from Ring telling me to renew my subscription, enough was enough even though the fee isn't very high. My video quality wasn't very good and it would repeatedly miss motion events, such as when the mail was delivered despite calls to Ring tech support.. This doorbell saves your videos on an SD card and not in the "cloud" on Amazon's servers. After I learned that this is an "IP camera" and what that means, I also bought an inexpensive camera video recorder and now record my front door 24/7 on it. Since it's a generic IP camera, I was able to choose my phone app and preferred "Guarding Vision" over the original manufacturer's app. The video quality is very good. I can also add other future IP cameras to the same app. The only thing I don't like is a "beep"sound is made when someone walks up to the door, presumably to alert them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
