Excellent alarm, everything works well, although slightly flawed instructions.
1. We had an old HSA phone alarm and the siren on it died - so we replaced the hub & sounder with this kit. So the really great thing is that all the sensors - door, PIR, smoke - we could reuse, significantly reducing the cost of upgrading. 2. The seller was very good. Despite being the cheapest available, the comms, delivery & packing was all above average. 3. The App on the iPhone gets bad reviews - but we've had no such issues. It's perhaps not quite as intuitively laid out or logical as it could be - but it's perfectly fine and does the job with no issues. You can do everything you need to do, moreover the devices dashboard, geo-prompting (if that's your thing), notifications & logging are all really excellent. 4. The ONLY issues we had - getting the siren to pair with the hub. This is probably the cause of some negative feedback since the instructions in the box are wrong and for whatever reason, Yale seem to be keeping this a secret. Instructions to pair the hub with the siren are as follows: a. Press and hold the learn button on the hub until the LED flashes. b. Make sure dip switches 1 2 3 and 4 on siren are on OFF position c. Then turn the power switch ON d. Press the learn button for 1 second. e. Go back to the hub and press the learn button for 1 second. f. Go to the siren and press the learn button for 1 second. g. Press and hold the learn button on the hub until the LED stops flashing. 4* because of the bad instructions and slightly clunky app - but still very good and well worth it.
