Such a great piece of kit. Having previously owned a small gas weed burner when it died I decided to get the electric version. So glad I did. You will need an extension lead but this doesn’t detract. Heats up really quickly and with the choice of heads for different areas it is so quick and doesn’t lose power. I think more powerful and useful from a gas version. Not very efficient or reliable.
I have had two of these. The first did not work on delivery and I returned it and bought a replacement. This one has worked for 2 sessions of weed burning which were not treally that succesful as it takes several minutes to burn out a small weed and some larger weeeds seem impervious to the heat. Weed burner
Just arrived so I set it up clicked appropriate nozzle on the end and went to work on a few weeds.Worked ok, but nozzle keeps falling off,rem if this happens be mindful it's hot! Don't be tempted to just try to fix it back on before cooling. Inside ten mins it fell off the times. It was locked in properly as I began I double checked,however, I'd still take it over weedkiller I avoid that toxic crap at all costs,its far too dangerous for us the animals and environment in general.so to round up I'd still give this a go and deal with the nozzle accordingly. Thought i'd write something about this product, as i saw a bit of negativity when i was looking to buy but this is easy to assemble and boy does it blast those weeds. Almost set my house on fire but using it carefully it gets rid of them quickly. Low setting isn't great but on high it certainly does the trick. Not as capable as assumed from initial view
Only deals with small weeds (see size of end deflector) and the heat does not seem consistent. Tried a full blown dandelion and no way did it get to the roots as advertised- unless I guess I had waited over it for an hour! Helpful Weed killer
If you're as lazy as I regarding weed elimination between adjacent paving bricks, then this is worth having BUT depending on weed size it is slow going and probably expensive to run. It does work and it relieves the back breaking scraping too. I suspect that moss and small grasses will soon return but I don't know that to be true after only about 4 weeks. Quality of manufacture seems quite acceptable so far.
