By reputation and experience SanDisk have always managed to produce excellent storage devices. This new device has been installed in my HP Elitebook 8570p. The SSD it replaced was only 240GB and it was starting to give me some problems due to it being quite full, photographs and music primarily. This new SSD Plus is noticeably quicker on startup and video editing activities. You'll have to take my word as I didn't really benchmark the old one but this is like the brown stuff of a shovel! The "Old one" is now in the the desktop and so my overall "PC" performance is really good.

I decided to change my HDDs to SSDs, when one of my HDDs died. I wanted to use this as my main drive but my Windows disk wouldn't load as the disk wouldn't format for Window, unless Windows was already loaded onto another disk. The other SSD disk I bought would format (I used my existing HDD to do this) but it was not used as the disk with the OS on it. I had to buy another disk with Windows already loaded and this disk works excellently. I then tried to format this disk, using it as my store but it wouldn't. SSDs are much better that HDDs but Windows has to be loaded already to format them. BEWARE!

I was a bit skeptical because this was selling far cheapr than elsewhere. It was delivered in sealed retail packaging and has the usual Sandisk quality and reliablity. Why pay much more for similar branded ssds from other manufacturers? Gives new life to devices still using spinning mechanical drives. Used freely available software to clone from an existing hdd.

Bought before Christmas to replace the spinning drive in my laptop. Although both drives were nominally 1Tb the Sandisk SSD was marginally bigger, which made cloning the drive straitforward. I have a dual boot Linux / Windows set up, and both OS's now boot rapidly. From selecting the OS to login screen, 11 sec in Linux, and 17 sec in Windows 10. Launching applications is also noticeably quicker. Too early to know about reliability as only been in use a week or two but seems fine so far. Did not look for cloning software on Sandisk website, as Clonezilla a linux based clone tool worked fine for me. (burned to a USB live disk) the process took around 2 hours to clone the 1Tb drive, which has about 650Gb data.

I have had a few of these drives and never had an issue with any of them
