Slow set epoxy
Bought this to use on a rc model plane. Like a lot of comments on here, I found it really does take a long time for this glue to set which wasn’t really a problem for me as I was in no rush but I can see it being frustrating for someone who wants a quicker job. It was still quite tacky after 24 hours so you would probably have to allow Maybe 48 hours for it to fully set. I would recommend the ‘rapid set’ epoxy if you’re looking for a much quicker job as that sets in about an hour.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Glue took a long time to set and is still not rock hard despite being well used to mixing this type of glue.Glue slumped whilst setting and took a long time to cure. Good but not excellent
This is not the original product called Araldite which I used for many years while it was still available, nor is it made by the original company. It has 1 "pro" in that it sets to a virtually transparent finish rather like the fast setting product that has largely replaced the original slow setting version. The original Araldite set to a yellow colour making it almost impossible to leave an invisible repair but the joint was extremely strong. It is my impression based on results so far that the joint strength is not quite so excellent, so this is a "con" and I have only rated it good.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great product, but not the Rapid variant
This is the original Araldite formula, not the 'Rapid' that came later. I too was confused when it didn't set after an hour but then remembered that was how it always was until Rapid came about. If you remember that it takes 12h to set, then the additional working time you get is actually very useful in a lot of cases. The manufacturer (huntsman) is clearly very reputable, but you must just remember it's not Araldite Rapid! It was (eventually) perfect for my use so recommend it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

5 Star Araldite
Bought this to stick two pieces of Metal together for a Telescope that I am modifying. For best results make sure that the parts to be glued are roughed with Emery Paper and also degreased with a good quality degreaser. Mix the Araldite in equal parts and apply to the component to be glued. The good thing I found with this version of Araldite is that it remains in a liquid state for several hours and if the component being glued requires a slight adjustment you can do. After 24 hours the bond becomes rock hard and the component can be drilled taped or filed if required. I my particular case I had to drill and Tap a M8 hole 30mm deep with no problems at all. In summery a 5 star product that I would have no hesitation in recommending providing you stick to the rules.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
