Great value, works for me.
Heating but no hot water on our Ideal combi boiler, the red indicator was lighting on the hall effect sensor but I thought there was a problem in there somewhere. I looked at the turbine cartridge which appeared o.k. but definitely a bit tired so I replaced it with this and a new sensor. Our hot water is now better than it has been for quite a while. Faulty original part; replaced with this new one. Hot water back on.
After careful diagnostics and a lot of research, I determined that the original part was faulty (unreliable hot water regardless of tap flow. Hall Sensor light blinking instead of solid). Blinking hall sensor, this is for you

If only i knew what this did,,, A Year ago,,Now my hot water is perfect
This item wears out, as it has a plastic turbine, which the flow of cold water makes it spin, The sensor on top of the turbine detects the spinning, then switches the flame / Hot water on. When these wear, your hot water does not work as it should. I'd say these would wear out after 3 years, 4 at the most. Fitting a new one, 30 mins max, including draining the system down. Flow rate sensor for Ideal 30 combi boiler
Received the part and replaced in 10 mins, boiler heats a lot better and water quicker now. Will replace every 4 years. Old one doesn’t look faulty but obviously was as new one a lot better.
