Best used on a hard surface, worked well then.
On the 1st attempt, with half a square of Dairy Milk chocolate wired to the back, the mouse extracted the chocolate while only half closing the door, and escaped with its reward! I decided it was due to being on a carpet. I put the trap on a piece of wood, with another half square of my Dairy Milk, and just after going to bed I heard it shut, and rattle. I had my mouse! Mouse is now living 100m or so away, by a river & pond, in a wooded hollow with lots of ground Ivy, with shelter and food supplied by me! It has not returned, nor have any of its friends! Didn't Work For Me - Too Lightweight!
I bought two of these and put them in my car boot. First morning back the traps were lying on their sides and doors open. This happened for the next two nights so I supported them with some wooden blocks placed close to but not touching them - they need to rock. Next morning the traps were still moved from between the blocks and the doors open! So some heavier blocks sides, front & back and STILL they got out! This time by gnawing the plastic near the door to make a hole big enough. Just too lightweight for my kung-fu mice!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
