Attn: Professionals Pyle 2 Tier Stand Review -Beware
The base bars touching floor aren't long enough to prevent tip over in an excited playing event. They need to be at least 6" longer. On the upper.tier I have a Hammond XK5 ($3400.00). On bottom tier I have a Dexibell S7 Pro 88 key stage piano.($2900.00). Not bragging about value of keyboards, just explaining how important proper support is to me & how I cannot afford to replace the instruments I make my living with. The advertising plainly states that the upper tier height can be adjusted anywhere from 5" to 12" from above the bottom keyboard. Fact is, that adjustment does not exist. I contacted support who simply sent me pictures of how to adjust the bottom tier. Up and down. It was painfully obvious how to do this. When adjusting the bottom tier up OR down, the top tier travels up OR down WITH the height of the bottom. The 2 tiers are NOT independent of each other since the top tier mounts onto a bar of the lower tier. The top tier can ONLY be adjusted up or down by about 3 inches, as there are 3 holes on the support bar for raising the tier up or down. I called support which took my email again as you cannot talk to live support..email only. I explained onc ed again there is no 5-12" adjustment separation from upper tier from bottom tier. They again sent mm e picture of how to adjust the bottom tier up or down depending on whether I'm sitting or standing. It's obvious how this is done without Pyle support. Pyle Support cannot figure out what my prroblem is. Notice my review title addressed to "professionsls"? This stand may be just perfect for home use where you might place the stand up against a wall...but I certainly wouldn't recommend this stand for gigging out live shows, etc. After placing my Hammond organ on the top tier without my piano on the bottom...the organ and stand wanted to tilt backwards. I'm so thankful I didn't let go of it. I removed the organ. I first had to stabilize the stand by first placing my piano on the bottom to keep it from falling backwards. Even with both keyboards mounted, I could wiggle the top organ and even though it didn't tilt backwards, it was very obvious that with just a little more force, the 2 keyboards would fall backwards because of lack of longer support bars on the floor! I wish I could post a short video here to prove everything I've said is true, as seeing is believing. For the money AND if I were using this strictly at home AND placed up against the wall with my keyboards, it would be ok...but that's not what my intended use was. Once again, you CANNOT adjust the upper tier from 5 to 12 inches CLOSER OR AWAY from the bottom keyboard as the advertising clearly states. It's impossible. The tilting arms of the upper tier work as they are supposed to, but that's not the problem. If they could add at least 6 inches more onto the bottom bars lenght to prevent the units from tilting backwards...AND make the upper tier adjustable as advertised, this might be a great stand for the money for use by gigging musicians. I'm boxing this one up and sending back immediately for a refund.
