Blissful Peace!
Being a chronic migraine sufferer and so very sensitive to sound, I use these earmuffs to block out traffic noise and to muffle my children's shrieking. Especially effective for blocking the traffic noise!! I would be lost without them, as I don't like wearing ear plugs. Good sound reduction but very big!
These are the top of the range ear defenders from 3M. I have the X4 as well, the X5's are noticibally quieter than the X4, but not by much. I would probably go for the X4 for general use, mainly because they are about half the thickness of the X5's.
