Protects. Turn your ipencil into a no fidget tool. Handy. Comfy. YES!
I highly recommend this case. I recently attended a seminar without desk working space, I missed a fair amount of the class because I was fidgeting with where to set the ipencil while I was adjusting my seat taking notes on the ipad. The ipencil itself is a poorly thought out Apple design, it is pretty but not as functional as it should be, as you all know...easy for it to slip/roll on the floor, easy to misplace the protective cap. Apple needs to do a proper job on design, make the ipencil with one flat side so you don't have it roll away on the floor. This ipencil holder SOLVES the Apple design problem. It is a VERY WELL DONE case: there is a magnet on the tube of the case that makes the ipencil not roll away, a built in cap tether so you can't lose the protective cap for charging, and it easily sticks on your ipad while you are trying to take notes without a table to put your ipad on...If you are not worrying where to put your stylus, you can pay attention to the mentor that you paid money to to teach you. Be successful and go into your endeavors with a success mind set, and use the best tools. This is one of them. One drop of water on the ipencil and the silicone case slips on easily. The soft case is way more comfortable than the metal ipencil, and there are bumpy ribs on the part of the case where you grip the ipencil. It comes with 2 extra magnetic strips, you could add those to something else in your office so you could place it there when you were not traveling with it. In my office, I put it on the metal filing cabinet that is part of my desk set up. The only fault is that I don't believe this comes in colors. I like colors better than classic, boring black, and as a black device, I could lose it in my piles of junk that exist at times on my desk. I haven"t lost it yet, I stick it on the file cabinet.
