Excellent value for money. Trackpad works perfectly which is great. If replacing yourself make sure you have a T6 torx precision screwdriver for adjusting the click screw (might not be required on yours to adjust this, my one needed slightly to get perfect click on new trackpad). Easy to replace trackpad yourself just check out youtube video and it's straightforward to do yourself.

It depends what you want. My mac was effectively useless. The cursor was tracking but I couldn't execute any commands by clicking. I tried lots of different things from YouTube and Mac forums then bought one of these. Now I can execute commands but the Fake Trackpad's material/build means that it doesn't 'feel' like an original. I can do all the same commands but there's no physical 'click' when i press and hold in order to drag. I can still click (hold) and drag but I have to press harder. It got me out of a jam which is why I'm able to write this now! The Apple shops were closed (Lockdown) and there was no other option. So Yes, it works, but it's not ideal. The MacBook is a Mid 2012 model so I'm about to upgrade. It was about £20 to fix it and I learned a lot from the Forums so I guess it was worth it! However, if it was a newer model I'd let the Apple Genius fix it.Read full review

Touch pad excellent. If you DIY you need a small and tiny Phillips screw driver and a tiny 3 pronged Phillips screw driver or carefully use a small flat blade for the battery removal. Watch YouTube videos.
