I used it to change the front wheel hub bearings on a 2008 VW Polo. The small collar used for pulling the bearing hub through the axle only has a small flat machined on it to get it past the ABS sensor, instead of a properly shaped cutout (probably because the tool is intended for several different models). The first bearing came out without incident, but on the second one, the collar just caught the edge of the sensor as it pulled through and snapped it in half. I had to buy a replacement sensor. The collar halves to pull the bearing back into the hub needed to be modified slightly, as they didn't quite sit properly behind the bearing. In summary, the tool got the job done, but not without some hassle. A set of instructions would have helped. I had to google for some guidance, eventually finding a Youtube video with a similar tool being used. Also, the user needs to know about the need to align the collar precisely before pulling the bearing through, or risk snapping the ABS sensor.Read full review

Used this on a 2011 1.2 TSI Fabia On the whole this tool works well , but WILL DAMAGE the ABS sensor without modification to the small dolly with the cut out (for removal of the bearing), as it's far too shallow to avoid the sensor !!!. The second modification required is to the silver half clamps that are fitted to the new bearing assembly, they will not clamp together correctly as they need a chamfer to match the hub machined radius. I removed some metal in that area with a grinder to allow it to fit properly,

tool is of solid construction and for the money is overall very good .only one issue i found with this is the bearing installer which is in 2 parts that fits around the new bearing and bolts together did not fit completly around bearing therefore i had to grind centre and linish it to get a perfect fit which then worked a treat, apparantly this is a common fault on this manufacture but for the sake of modifying it slightly you then have a good strong tool for the job.when installing new bearing into hub make sure it is dead square before winding it in on threaded bar otherwise it will go in at an angle and bind up.. clean inside hub thoroughly and give a light coat of grease which will help it seat easier .this tool does not come with instruction but follow it on youtube and its very simple to use .i would definatly recommend this tool as other similar makes out there cost a lot more .Read full review

Handy kit. Nicely cased. The screws for the two halfs are longer than needed, but this may be for other hubs. Made to extract bearing without removing ABS sensor, but not sufficient clearance on original 2009 Ibiza sensors. Always grease the screws to save threads especially main drive bolt. Make sure to centre unit on hub when installing new bearing. Can be used on 4 or 5 hole hubs. I use a 750mm breaker bar to start extraction, finish with rachet. Rachet should be sufficient for install (operator dependant). You will need a 30mm ring spanner for rear nut to counter hold. Whether extracting or installing the kit works perfect. I used a marker to label the box internally so you know what is what without thinking about it. Treat it right it will last - Enjoy!

Used once so far on my own car, done the job well. Would be good to have instructions on how to set it up though. I had to watch a few videos to get the idea.
