I would recommend this wifi extedender but I must admit that I have had a few problems. The trouble is, I'm not sure if the problems are due to the extender or the nature of the wifi signal! I use Virginmedia broadband and my wifi superhub offers me a choice of 2g or 5g wireless internet. The 2g is no problem at all the extender works perfectly. However, when it comes to the 5g connection, it's another matter. I find the extender loses signal to the 5g connection on a rather regular basis and I have to restart the device to rescan and find the connection again. The trouble is that 5g wireless internet works on different radio channels to the normal 2g connections and some of these channels have a problem with some devices. My iPhone and my laptop finds and connects to my 5g wifi connection no problem and works throughout the day. The extender however seems to lose connection to the 5g randomly throughout the week, depending on what radio channel it's on. It's a bit of a pain to be honest because if I am connected to the extender via its 5g extension, it tends to lose connection at random times and restart again! Sometimes it just loses connection and I have to manually restart the extender to get the connection back up! I don't see why this should happen if my iPhone and laptop can connect to the 5g all day without any problems!? The trouble is, there are not many options out there for 2g & 5g extenders, so I am just making do for the minute!
