Sturdy & easy to use - same box can now be used on either of my bikes
I fitted a monolock kit & box to my F800ST BMW some time ago & had to improvise when fitting the base plate to the oem rack. When I started to use my old Moto Guzzi regularly too I started looking for a waterproof tail-bag - but soon came up with the idea of getting this fitting kit & using the same box. It was much cheaper & easy as the box is qd. The "W" shaped brackets do not fit the tubular rack on the bike very well & the nuts would be easy for a thief to undo, but that's not an issue where I park. Givi universal plate
This universal plate is worth every penny of 20 quid although you can get a 30ltr top box and plate for about 50 quid. It's fairly basic but absolutely fine doing what it's designed for and comes with all the nuts and bolts you need to mount the plate to a sport rack or in my case the flat carrier on the back of my honda silverwing scooter. If you have a givi monolock top box this will hold it but it won't hold a monokey top box. Great piece of kit from a trusted motorcycle luggage company.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

High quality at a keen price
I tried a cheaper offering of a luggage plate. It was poor quality [one of the nuts actually exploded apart when tightened], didn't lock the top box on and had to be discarded. My wife has it in use as a plant pot drainer !. By comparison this Givi plate comes with solid fittings, is easy to fit, and securely locks my top-box onto my bike.
