Terrafirma wind deflectors are useful in a number of ways: they enable the windows to be open slightly allowing fresh air to circulate even when it is raining without the water coming in. They provide ventilation and help to draw out unwanted odours when moving. For vehicles fitted with tinted windows they reduce glare when the windows are partially open and significantly reduce wind noise while driving with the windows down. They are easy to fit, in most cases no tools or adhesive is required, they are supplied with selfadhesive strips pre fitted for easy application to the door frame. TF665 RANGE ROVER L322 2002-2012.
Once mine arrived, I removed the excellent packaging to see these nice items. From prior experience I used alcohol pads to clean the mating surfaces they would go onto, and "rough checked" their fit and locating on the doors. I also waited until I knew I was going to have dry weather and above 60deg F before I did my installation. Once I had the door cleaned and wind deflector located, I simply removed the double sided tapes "backing" and placed the deflector on the door. I then rubbed the double sided tape down very firmly. I simply did one door at a time, and all in all I'd say it took me about 30 minuets to do this instal. HOW do they work? They work great! They really cut down the "road wind noise" at speed, as well stopping any water from coming into the cabin when the window is open a bit for venting.
The only negative I have is they are made out of Plexiglas. Plexiglas holds up to UV well, however with prolonged exposure it will become very brittle. I will see how much "age" I will get from these, I would hate to have one of them break in a year or so - then I would have to take the rest off and start over. If they were made out of a "Kydex" type of material, they would last almost forever.
