Casio digitals have a ton of credibility, the very cheapest being the F-91w and it's classier looking brother the A158. Cool as they are, they are a little lacking in the backlight department. The A168 costs a little more and is a little thicker, but has the fantastic electro-luminescent light which really makes the watch shine. The base A168 does suffer a little from some rather ugly grahics on the fascia, which has always out me off, but these new editions in shiny silver, black, and green have a really classy look that makes them shine day or night. This is the classic Casio digital of my dreams, and I'm tempted to get the other colours too so I can have a complete set. The only negative is the cheap bracelet, but the case has drilled lugs so swapping in a different bracelet or strap is doable, although a leather strap would be a very tight fit in the hooded lugs. Metal bracelets and NATO straps shouldn't be a problem though. I've swapped in a thick 18mm milanese mesh bracelet which adds some heft.Read full review
