Good quality rust prevention primer
I've been using this for years as an undercoat on classic cars & bicycles. I hear there are other products out there similar, but I've always used this one in either spray or from the tin depending on the job. Seems OK to me, when used with a to coat etc... I prefer being thorough with layers of paint, to save ever having to go back to the job to do it again... Probably best to keep adding wax to the too coat, for stuff outside all year.
