A surprisingly useful bit of kit
The product is an inexpensive way to analyse the state of your battery, starting system and charging system in 10 minutes or less. It allows you to understand when a battery is failing in numerical terms so gives you confidence to change it without necessarily incurring large garage fees. Tip: Use this devcice to get benchmark values on the state of the car battery when it is not giving problems and measure them again every 3 or 6 months to see how the state of the battery is changing. This will alert you to problems before they occur. A major side benefit of ownership is that by researching the meaning of the 10 or 12 individual measurements given out by the device, the user becomes much more knowledgeable about how to get the best out of a battery. In my own case, I have invested in smart CTEK chargers to maintain the batteries in my family's cars because we typically we do low mileages every day. I am aware that this can damage batteries but I was not previously aware of exactly how damaging this is. The cost of the battery chargers far exceeds the cost of the analyser. However, the real cost is not any of the components - even a good battery is less than £100 online - it is the cost of the hassle if the car breaks down due to battery problems.
