It works very well. Easy to programme.

This is the second of these I have had, they work fine on the Arduino IDE and give no trouble connecting to Wifi or pairing with Bluetooth. Plenty of ports. No issues using these ESP32 libraries: Preferences.h // to use NVRAM for data RTClib.h // For the real time clock; uses I2C "wire" BluetoothSerial.h // To my phone HardwareSerial.h // Hardware to the modem

    WiFi drops.....no auto re connect.

Bought for weather-station control but WiFi drops out intermittently and fails to auto re-connect. Power cycle is the only way to reconnect. Not suitable for my project sending data to weather app

  • Works nice and has a suprise

Setting up the Arduino IDE requires a few extra steps but so far, no problems - works as expected! The only surprise for me was when I tried to hook it up with WS2812B LEDs - first, you don't need step-down converter - ESP32 has built-in voltage regulator, so the Vin needs 5V (it didn't work when I lowered it to the range 3.0-3.6V given by datasheet). The next surprise was that the LEDs didn't work properly, when I used logic-level shifter from 3.3V to 5V (as opposed to tutorials). Turns out that you can drive the LEDs directly from the data pin without level-shifting (of course with a proper resistor between the data pin and the first LED).

  • Esp 32

The price is excellent simply to use with arduino once you have downloaded the library which i found a bit difficult to do

  • Not a develoment card

This is an ESP-WROOM-32 production board, not suited for developement work. It can not be programmed with the attached USB port. You have to use a FTDI USB to serial adapter connected to the ESP-32 serial port. That should be told in the annoncement headlines in the advertisement.
