Still buying zinc182 paint after forty years; but just buy bigger cans now! Highly recommended, one of its best properties is that it is quick drying - especially important in rain-threatened UK. I have used it on car(s) underbody parts for decades, either alone or with a topcoat of suitable aluminium paint.

good for bare metal and slightly rusty surfaces. sticks to surface well. It needs cellulose thinners to wash brushes and maybe needs thihnning a bit cos its quite thick to paint sometimes. Excellent undercoat before top colour coat. USed it on my 1962 riley..all the underneath..

It does however require 2 coats to cover properly. I had hoped it would cover in one, as the task in hand quite involved. I am sure that when I last used this product back in the early 70s it did cover with just the one coat. To be fair, it does say on the tin to apply one or two coats, so the manufacturers are really aware of its shortcomings.

I have used this product for as long as I remember and have never considered changing for any thing else I have vehicles which were painted with this. in particularly the chassis of vintage commercials they have two coats before undercoat and glass. an Albion which was the best vehicle on the 1992 London to Brighton and remains rust free thanks to this paint The paint may be applied by brush or by spraying, two coats ensure good coverage This is a base coat and must be over coated with primer/under coat and a non porous top coat I shall be buying a further 2 litres from on E bay where the price varies greatly look thoroughly for the best price
