Mayhem in marriage for Bette and Gary thriller
The film was quite a good play, originally. Bette, my favourite actress in Hollywood is just ‘ too big ‘ to fit the role, in an understated way. She and Merrill were on their way out as a married couple at the time, so it seems on screen, and things appear strained. I feel very sorry that this was their sea song.
