So far, so good.... but
Instructions lack detail and had to find a youtube video to understand functionality. Also, this is a device that is made to fit an Apple iPad,,, it would have been nice if the Zagg would accept the same charging cord as the iPad. Zagg Rugged Book Case
The Zagg Rugged Book Case, is well built, but poorly designed. The openings for various ports, camera and buttons, do not match well the IPad Pro, for which is it advertised. The material used appears to be durable and the case does seem to protect the IPad, the reason I purchased it. Very sturdy construction with a few details
The case itself is great. Looks and feels very rugged and durable. The case is hard to put on / take off the iPad. The lighting port access will not allow to insert the Apple Pencil right out of the box. I had to modify it. The keyboard is very good for a portable keyboard, not great compared to a regular one. The hinges are a bit hard to get open. And the way to attach the keyboard to the case is awkward and not that reliable. But you get used to it. It’s a steel of at the asking price

Best rugged cover on the market
Drawback is the weight. most of it is in the keyboard but it is still the best for rugged use. this is my 3rd one. 1st one got wet from an unknown spill,second i bought used and the hinges broke out of it in a week. now i have another new. use the backlight on keyboard often and have never had it go dead on me. i usually charge it for 6 hrs every other week. claims to last up to 2 years but im not trying. will take a drop like a rock star.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Refurbished?
I can see where it has been superglued back together. Not what I was expecting but for the price I can hardly be picky. Hinge still works well. Not a replacement for the Zagg Rugged cover
I bought this in an attempt to replace a Zagg Rugged setup for my iPad. And this is relatively worthless for my needs. It doesn’t really protect the iPad, and since you need a large enough flat enough flat surface to set the thing on in order to see the screen and use the keyboard.
