Works well; great value
I bought two of these for my 800 square foot NYC apartment because it is so dusty in the city. These have made a huge difference in the dust level and smell of the apartment. And obviously in what I am breathing in. They work for 3-5 days on a water fill up, and are reasonably quiet. They are not whisper quiet; you definitely can hear them. But for me, the white noise is just fine. I can sleep with one next to me in bedroom. They also add some humidity to the air, which is a nice benefit in the winter, although I cannot say I have found it to be a huge difference.
