Punching well above their weight!
So I usually buy top end tackle, but these came up at an amazing price and the reviews on the internet are good. I have now used the reels a few times and I can say that the quality and feel of the reel is well beyond what I expected. I did added a little oil to the line guard to quieten them down. The drag is sensitive and reliable. It also has the advantage of a quick drag so it is only ever a few clicks from open drag (bait-runner style) to standard drag setting. The reason I purchased these reels was for casting. I did have some old school Daiwa Emblems which were decent reels for their time. Do I cast further...I am not definite it make that much difference but my brain is telling me it is easier (I have been fishing at about 30 wraps) So my only issue with the reel is the weight, coming in at around 700g with line, compare my old reels at about 600g. Also if you look at the top end reels, then they are coming in around 500g. This does make a difference when casting. However the only way you are going to get that weight reduction is spending another £150+ / reel! Therefore in conclusion for the price they are punching well above their weight (in all senses)
