    Much better than expected!

Knock-offs are usually poor quality and don't work. The GO-TCHA is definitely a knock-off, but with none of the usual problems. Pretty easy to use (a bit of a learning curve but there IS documentation!), functions all work as advertised, battery life is excellent, and it even includes features the original GO Plus lacks (screen, auto-catch/spin). The game sees the device as a GO Plus, so all in-game interactions are the same. The GO-TCHA has settings catch, spin, catch only new Pokémon, vibrate, etc, and to change them you just tap to the desired one and long press the one button to change it. Very easy! I've used it to auto-spin and catch in a high-density pokestop area, and it spins and catches while the phone is in my pocket. Highly recommended!

  • Most critical review

Connection Issues, Stainable Wristband, and Short Charger.

When I first got this, I loved it! It quickly and easily captured Pokemon and Pokestops. After a couple of days it was having issues connecting to the app, and it would never tell me if it disconnected. I went back to my original Pokemon Go+. The band is VERY easily stained with everyday dirt and grime. Charging it was difficult since it wouldn't want to stay in its charger. The cord is too short to set it on something so it has to dangle off of the wall adapter or computer USB plug, which makes keeping it in the charger difficult. Was very excited for this device, but I guess buying off brand products is always a risk.

  • It all depends on how you plan to use it.

The product works as advertised. It presents itself to the game as Go+. But it is also somewhat bound by the Go+ rules of prioritizing catching over spinning. You can use it just like the go and just tap to catch, but it does have auto catch and auto spin features. That is where for me it works best. I do not use it to auto catch, I do not want a bin full of Pokemon to delete occasionally, so I have turned the catch notification off in the game and set the device only to spin stops. It will do so even if I am trying to catch actively so it works out just the way I would like it to. It is rechargeable which keeps me from having to buy coin cells, and with the purchase of a solid black band (unfortunately not included) off the net, it looks very similar to some sort of fitness band and is fairly unobtrusive to wear (no flashing lights, etc.) The one down side I have is the vibration motor is noisy as all get-out. Worn under a coat sleeve it is not bad, carried in a pocket is it not too bad either, out in the open it is quite loud...

  • Auto Catch isn't magic -- but the device is very good

I slightly misunderstood the product. People told me that it would throw a ball and be a 50/50 chance to catch the pokemon -- but that it also has an auto catch feature. I took this to mean it has a feature that will auto-SUCCEED, I was wrong. They meant there is a difference from the setting that it can either: A) Notify you of a pokemon to catch on your own or B) Notify you that one showed up and it threw a ball at it. So that's my fault. The product itself works perfectly. You don't need to be on your phone and it will spin every stop for you, and tracks egg steps better than normal. You still gain EXP and Stardust from the catches as well, so auto catch is great if you can't get to your phone and don't want to miss out -- otherwise just let it tell you something is there and catch it yourself.

  • Great Product.

The GO-TCHA does everything as described. It is nice to use on Auto Catch/Spin when you are busy doing whatever (at work), or walking and cannot have your hands pushing buttons. A few emotional expectations: you will have many mon flee from you with the auto catch. But, you will catch much more. Make sure you have lots of poke balls (red ones) and space in your poke bag. It will fill up fast.

  • Super useful, has great features

This is a wonderful little gadget. Recognized by the app as a standard Pokemon Go Plus, but has it's own unique properties, such as auto-catch, which is nice because it does not require you to press a button to catch something near by, though you can set it to manual catch mode as well. I use it while I'm down town and driving to and from work, and I really love that it helps me catch mons and get stops without diverting my attention from the road. I just turn it on, and forget about it until I get home. Great battery life, and it also appears to be water resistant. My only complaint about this item is that it can sometimes be hard to get the app to connect to it. It might be my phone, or just a problem with the app as well, so I can't say it's the Go-Tchas fault for sure.

  • Must for the working Pokémon Trainer!

Auto catch & auto spin! Disconnects every hour on the hour (not the devices fault, it's the app itself), perfect for the working Pokémon Trainer! Must have! One hour to charge works for eight hours & catches while charging! No battery indicator though. Manual is online pdf format must have to understand the display. Unless Niantic evolves their version there should be no problem. Try finding the miband necklace or wristbands because the bracelet it ships with is terrible. Dimensions are 3.8cmx1.5cmx1 cm based on the UK Primefit fitness tracker.

  • Was good, but IOS 11 update broke it.

The device itself, prior to the most recent iOS update, was working great. It did as described. Perfect auto catch/spin and stayed connected rather well. However, the newest iOS update “broke” the auto functions. The Gotcha recognizes that there’s is a Pokémon or a poksteop, but it won’t do the auto function. You have to push it start the process. Until this is fixed, it’s a useless item. Code junkies are aware of the issue, but no update has been released.

  • Great device but I wish it was made better

This tool is very helpful for Pokemon Go players, at first I thought I'd only use it to auto-spin pokestops & gyms to keep up my stock on items but I've also turned on auto-catch for when I'm driving. The catch rate for auto-catch is poor but I'm still catching more pokemon than I would be oherwise. I wish this device was a bit better, probably my top 3 gripes: 1. Wish it had USB-C or at least microUSB for charging instead of a proprietary charging dongle. Even if these dongles are cheap it would be better if I could use the cable I already use for my phone or one of the dozens of microUSB cables to charge the device. 2. Wish it had a way to check the battery status 3. Wish the screen could be seen in bright light.

  • To Pokemon go Plus or not? gotcha!

I have mixed thoughts about this product but it has made the game Pokemon go much more enjoyable. The good is it's a Pokemon go plus that is in automatic mode which is awesome because you can just sit back and forget that you're playing the game. You will build up stardust and catch Pokemon and no time. Also spins stops. Has different modes just in case you only want stops or Pokemon. This thing is rechargeable no buying batteries like with the original. Bad Shuts off after an hour this is probably because of Naiatic. Sometimes you have to quit out of the app and reconnect just to get this thing working again. The wristband that comes with this it's not too appealing. You go through pokeballs way too fast. Hit them pokestops. You know it ain't going to catch them rare Pokemon so if you got this on automatic don't say I didn't warn you. Price. because the game is popular you know this thing is going to be costing you an arm and a leg. Look out for deals
