  • Makes a very strong structure.

I have used this product before. I use it to coat the inside of model boats to waterproof the planking and seal the gaps. Masking tape is put on the outside then removed and sanded flat. Makes a very strong structure. The fast is good as there is still plenty of time to flow the resin around the boat. The slow I have used in the past and is very slow. Best used when making a paste with microfibers to do filleting. I bought the measuring spouts as well which makes mixing easy. Once the system is bought, there tends to be more jobs it is suitable for.

  • Came exactly as described, and quickly!

Order this as I went to the local chandlers and the only pack they had was with 205 Hardener, no use for using during the summer as it goes off too quickly when the weather is hot. Not a fault of the product just a fact of life. The 206, is a brilliant compromise as it still gives the same quality of finish only it is designed for warmer temperatures.

  • Very good Resin

It’s a good thing to be able to mix a small amount. A good example for instance, I went to mix what I thought, was a 1:1 ratio. Who’s the guy who never read’s instructions. That was last month, I am still waiting for the mold to set !!!!!! Seriously, I love to use your new mix. It’s so easy to use.

  • Reliable, versatile adhesive with many other uses.

I have not actually started to use this particular pack of West epoxy resins but I have been using the product for very many years, almost always successfully. It is an outstanding adhesive, very versatile and seemingly quite tolerant of minor variations in the ratio of components in the mix. I use it mainly on boats so I rely on it to withstand the marine environment. In addition to adhesive applications I use it to seal the cut edges of plywood and occasionally to reinforce and rebuild damaged or rotten timber. It works well with glassfibre mat and cloth leaving a near transparent layer. The end result is much more reliable than the polyester/glass alternative, albeit at twice the cost. The cured system is slightly yellow after exposure to sunlight and light all epoxy systems benefits from protection from UV radiation. Chose another resin grade if your project requires a colourless coating.

  • You will enjoy working with this epoxy resin.

Easy to use. Easy to mix and add mica pigments, glitter or whatever you like. Easy to cut after around five hours. Sets fully like glass in 24hr. A pair of digital scales will help you out getting the ratio exact and adding the correct amount of pigment. Don't bother to keep looking, this stuff is the best i've used.

  • The best

I don't usually write reviews but it's worth it in this case. West system epoxy is arguably the best glue on the planet. The only epoxy which was capable of gluing a wooden handle on to a flat-bow [archery bow]. When the bow was flexed a few times all other glues failed and the handle popped off. Not West System though. Hardly surprising as it's aimed at gluing the flexible hulls of boats together. I now use it all the time for furniture restoration and general woodworking.

  • Very strong, can be mixed with thickeners, waterproof and very tough.

For glueing timber West epoxy glue is probably the strongest and most reliable glues in the world. It is the premier boat building glue and in our case of rebuilding a 1936 horse tram I could not recommend a better glue.

  • Great product

Easy to mix in small quantities (using scales to get the ratio right). Cures in the time frame/temperature specified. Can't fault it.

  • Stick with it!

This resin work brilliantly but does depend on exact mixing of resin to hardener. I use syringes for this to prepare small quantities and because the West pumps stop working after a short while. I mix in microglass spheres to thicken and colouring as required for kayak hull repairs.
