Recommended, but not as good as the previous-generation stronger ones

Beware the new flimsy plastic, they need more careful handling, but better than expected and work as well as the older stronger ones. As numerous other reviewers have pointed out, this new generation of cyclone clothes pegs are made from much softer plastic. This is indeed a disappointment, I absolutely love my older stronger pegs, they have lasted about 15 years. It put me off buying these at first. But then, this is the only style of clothes peg that doesn't drive me mad or hurt my hands/wrists with tight springs (I hate the clip grip style), so I bought a pack to try. In the end, not as bad as I feared! The thinner plastic means you need to take longer to use each one, aligning it exactly vertically, or one of the two sides will twist away as you push it down onto the clothes line. Other than this, these flimsier ones do seem to work as well as the old ones in terms of holding clothes in a strong breeze, and in adapting to hold different thicknesses of clothes (another bugbear of mine with other styles of clothes pegs, especially the wooden dollies). Overall: recommended as the best currently available, but not as good as the previous-generation stronger pegs.

    Very hard to use

Got these cause I knew my neighbour had them - but the are really difficult to use. They can only be used on lightweight clothing. When they need to come off it’s really difficult and ur fingers hurt pulling them off. On thicker clothes it’s really hard to put them on and take them out - won’t recommend them

  • Very good pegs but not as good quality build as the old ones I have.

Reasonably priced pegs. The pegs are good quality but not as thick as the old pegs I have. These pegs do stay on the washing on the line even when there is a strong wind. I am pleased with them and would recommend them.

  • Disappointing quality

Cyclone pegs used to be the best pegs ever. I compared these to my old ones 30 yrs old and still used every day. No comparison, the plastic is half as thick and very bendy. Why cut production costs (made in China? ) at the expense of quality. I would pay double the price for the quality of the old ones. So disappointing

  • cyclone plastic clothes line pegs

they are pretty good, I bought the ones I had for years before this from betterware and I have to say that the ones betterware had were better but I couldnt seem to get them now, so these are nearly just as good and from memory a bit cheaper too, so all round I guess they are defo worth the money if you use this type of peg :)

  • Flimsy! not like Betterware product

Disappointed! Flimsy bendy plastic. Bought them as a replacement for the old Betterware cyclone pegs which I have lost over the years. Still have 4x blue left and compared with; plastic was more rigid and stayed on the wash line. These twisted and shorts and trousers were on the ground within 15mins. It was windy today though! I thought that was what cyclone pegs were for! Blow it! Disappointed!

  • First time using pegs of this shape

You have to really push the pegs on the clothes to make sure that the washing doesn't blow off of the line. Then it feels like the clothes will be damaged as you have to pull the pegs off and they are really stiff, may become easier to use the more you use them but first few tries I'm not convinced.

  • USELESS PEGS

The pegs are far from Heavy Duty. The pegs twist so easily making them useless. Yes, this was a speedy transaction but a complete waste of money for what I would call a light duty product. Maybe best sold as a toy!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT

  • Foolproof

I love these pegs; they really do keep your washing fixed to the line no matter how hard the wind blows. My mother started me off using them and I wouldn't use anything else as they are far superior to the cheap and nasty plastic two-piece pegs which break as soon as you look at them. Cyclone pegs rock!!!!

  • Great product

I have used these sort of pegs for 30 years or so. I have just bought new ones as old ones are starting to break as they are so old . Work brilliantly very cheap. I have to say these seem just slightly less strong but only slightly. And everything is less sturdy nowadays .
