  • JB Water Weld to the rescue on a fuel leak

Bought this to do a repair on a small crack in an acrylic bath but have used it first to seal a leak around a fuel line in a chainsaw petrol tank. You can cut off the amount of putty required, squeeze it together between your fingers to mix the two components and then mould it wherever needed. It sets very quickly. I left it for a couple of days before testing the chainsaw with fuel in the tank. It has worked very well, no more leaking fuel. I have used other JB weld products and they have all been excellent. On to fix the bath next which I am sure will be sorted in a few minutes.

  • Worth using

Although I used the product on a fairly light duty job (sealing a leak from a sink drain). The product was easy to use and I see no reason why it would not be successful on more challenging jobs. I would suggest that it is important to clean the surface and rough it up to ensure good bond

  • Brill Product

It worked really well. I fixed a leaking plastic water container that would have cost me £250 to replace

  • Get the job done perfectly

Fantastic product. Although I'd say its a bit hard to tell whether it's mixed well or not judging from just the colour itself. Just give it extra knead and you'll be fine.

  • Did not seal metal leak under water !

Hi, Well, I tried do seal a leak in water on a metal pipe, but the water weld would not stick to the metal under water and although I held it in place it was not stuck to the metal. I dried as a solid lump but useless as it fell off when I checked it the next day.

  • Did not work.

It did not work, Maybe I got it wrong when applying the product but it did not fix the tiny leak that I had unfortunately, but I have found another purpose for it so I am quite happy for now.

  • Not for me

Bought this after watching several you tube videos. To be honest I would have had a better result using play doh. Only place it seems to suit was in the dustbin.

  • Ease of use

It sets fast , sticks to fingers but dont stick to steel b4 fingers Scraped all rust ect till steel was just bare and stuck to fingers better than metal , but it works

  • Excellent

This is a life saver and a miracle paste. I had an hairline crack on my toilet you bend and bonding tape etc didn’t stop the dripping. Purchase this and squished a bit together till soft. Applied it and then left to dry. I presume it cures because it took 24 hours to stop dripping. Saved me lots of money replacing the loo for new.
