Great System, Some Defects
The simplisafe system itself was great and easy to set up after I finally gave up and called SimpliSafe. The one we received had all the entries, reset the master pin (they had to go in and do it remotely), fobs, and sensors already named so we had to spend about 2 hours renaming, recoding, and resetting each piece. The camera also didn’t work despite extensive trouble shooting with Simplisafe. Overall, the install was great and the parts were all there and ready to go- just don’t mess around and call SimpliSafe right away with a second hand unit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Simply Safe
Simple set up, easy installation right out of the box. The sticky strips were old or not strong enough to hold some of the sensors so I did have to buy doubled sided 3M tape to stick the sensors to the walls/doors. The alarm system is set up with an app available for Android or istore, or by the keypad that is included with the kit. Can install other Simplisafe devices at a later time allowing you to purchase other devices at a later time making this system affordable for the novice user. You can monitor your self by using the app and if you subscribe to a monthly service, professionals can monitor your system. I monitor my system myself with just the app and no monthly subscription, it will tell me if it's armed or not. The alarm could be a little louder in my opinion but will scare off someone. The camera does have one downfall of having to have a microsd card placed in the storage compartment to store footage.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

SimpliSafe - Solid and Reliable
Pros: Simplisafe was easy to install and setup. The components feel well built and durable. The instructions were easy to understand and numerous videos are available for assistance when questions arise. Cons: Lack of a phone APP to control the system. It would be great to receive a notification if the alarm went off and provide info concerning the sensor activation.
