Limescale Destroyer
I live in an area where the water is . . . [insert harsh swearing] gross. So I bought a water distiller to get rid of as much chemical shenanigans as I could. Due to high lime content in the water they get really clarted up on the sides with scale. 1 tablespoon of citric acid in a couple of liters of warm water, 10 minutes later . . . clean as anything. This also works on descaling kettles, water jugs etc., just remember to thoroughly rinse and clean afterwards. Also great to degunk taps that are chalked up on the ends. Small bag with white vinegar and a teaspoon of citric acid, tie on the end for 10 minutes, after just gently knock the lumps off with a knife or gently rub with pumice stone. Descaled sinks and toilet basins very well
It worked very well for descaling toilet bowls and wash basins. I used an old damp towel to cover the powder that I had sprinkled over the lime encrusted porcelain.
