Picked this up just to check the tracking weight on my tt is ok. It is pretty easy to set up. Seems reasonably well made for a Chinese assemble job. It comes with a case, a couple of batteries and a weight to check calibration. You have to reset the device and check it reads the 5 gram weight accurately - which it did. I then carefully lowered the tone arm onto the device and it gave a reading extremely close to where I have got the weighting set. Probably will not need his device again for some time, but at the price point there is no need to complain and it is always there if I have to reset the turntable etc or someone else wants to borrow it.

Works very well but how would anyone know anyway ,unless I owned some very expensive scientific equipment I cannot state how accurate it is.. but seems very good quality and the amounts it should read seem to be correct.. excellent for turntable owners.

Excellent piece of equipment, I recently repaired my 40+ year old Pioneer PL-L1000 tangential tracking turntable and had lightened the counterweight to give less moving mass so consequently the scale on the tonearm was not accurate so these are ideal to test the tracking weight and are very accurate. I tested the accuracy with the supplied 5g weight and some light coins of known weight.

Very useful tool and essential if you are recalibrating your stylus weight. Neat compact design and come with checking weight to test before use each time . The cover fits over the actual scale tray abs protects it nicely . Very pleased .
